Montréal student campaign against 3% tuition increases, 2013
Feb 25, 2013 – Mar 22, 2013 (25 days)
In February 2013, the Partis Quebecois (PQ) government in Quebec held a two-day Summit on Higher Education, following the premier's announcement that it would not pursue the possibility of free post-seconary education. It prompted a boycott by the Association pour une Solidarité Syndicale Étudiante (ASSÉ) and protests from several groups, largely in response to the PQ plans to index tuition to inflation annually at 3%. Protests against tuition indexation continued through March.
